Lighthouse Outreach

The Lighthouse Shelter is a partner of the Oakville Salvation Army; it is a 32- bed, co-ed emergency shelter serving Halton Region. For many years, St. Aidan’s Parish has made this shelter the focus of its outreach program. When needed, the church provides comfort items such as socks, toques, gloves and T-shirts as well as personal hygiene products. At Christmas and Easter, each resident receives a ‘Santa Stocking’ or ‘Bunny
Bag’ containing treats, personal hygiene products and a Tim’s card. We could not undertake this important initiative without the tremendous support of our St. Aidan’s community.

Halton Fresh Food Box

St. Aidan’s is a distribution centre for this non-profit program which provides fresh vegetables and fruits for Ontario Works clients, new Canadians, others in need of assistance with food security as well as the general public. Delivering 45 to 55 boxes of food per month makes our site a busy location for this needed community service.
